Spelling Words: Wordly Wise Lesson 13
Spelling and math homework should be written in your child's planner.
Math: Lesson 35 and 36. Pages 147, 148, 151 and 152.
Here are some ideas that may help your child learn his/her spelling words.
Write each word 3 times
Write a sentence for each word
Alphabetize the words
Divide the words into syllables
Write an antonym for each word
Write a synonym for each word
Form the plural of each word
Add endings: s, es, er, ed, est
Illustrate each word
Write a letter using all of the words or as many as you can
Write a story using as many of the spelling words you can
Make a crossword puzzle using all the words
Make word search using all the words
Make a mini-study book
Type your spelling words on the computer
Make flash cards of the words.
Say and then spell the words into a tape player. Play the tape back to yourself
Use your finger to write the words into a salt box or a sand box
Spray shaving cream out in the bathtub. Use you finger to write in the shaving cream
Write your spelling words using rainbow writing
Use scrabble tiles to spell your words
Be creative and come up with your own ideas!
